Rey Tamayo Sibayan a.k.a. rey sibayan started his career as broadcast journalist sometime in 1989 when he was hired as standby announcer of DwBL Radio Station at Philcomcen Building, Pasig City. He attended seminars about radio broadcast especially with the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) and build-up his profession thru hands-on and actual broadcast exposure. He transfered to DwRT AM as radio announcer, 6 months later when the station was managed by Ms.Mila Balatbat. After attending a KBP seminar, he was given the chance to join the family of DwIZ as field reporter/newswriter/newscaster, and then transfered to the mother station DZRH in 1991 initially as field reporter/newswriter/ newscaster. He earned some recognitions and awards including the Catholic Mass Media Awards Best News Commentary in 2001 for radio program Back-to-Back with Deo Macalma and recognized by Metro Manila Reporters Association METTRO as Bagong Dugo ng Bagong Milenyo among broadcast journalists. He is presently the co-anchor of Joe Taruc during the morning broadcast Balitang Bayan Numero Uno; Co-host of Agritech Farm Program with former Agriculture Secretary Sonny Escudero; and Partner of Deo Macalma in DZRH Boom Balita. He also handles PCSO Live program in Radyo Natin, a sister network of DZRH with Henry Uri.
